Thoracic aortic aneurysm modelThe intercostal muscles are bluntly isolated through the left back, the fourth and fifth ribs are cut, and the thoracic aorta is exposed. The thoracic aortic artery is dissociated with bending forceps at 1 cm. The gauze soaked with 1500 U/ ml porcine pancreatic elastase is used to cover the vascular adventitia for 20min, after which the gauze is removed, and the thorax is closed by suturing layer by layer. The model of thoracic aortic aneurysm is therefore established.
