Western BlotWestern blot applies the polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The protein sample or polyacrylamide on the solid phase carrier is used as the antigen to sequentially immunoreact with the corresponding antibodies and with enzyme or isotype-labeled secondary antibody. The protein component expressed by the specifific target gene following the separation can be detected using substrate development or radiolucent autoradiography.
