Lower extremity deep venous thrombosis modelThe inferior vena cava is exposed and the posterior peritoneum is opened, following which the ligation point of the inferior vena cava 2 mm below the left renal vein is confirmed. The inferior vena cava is dissociated to the level of the iliac vein. After ligating the inferior vena cava branch, the ligature point is constricted. Hence a rat model of lower extremity venous thrombosis is established.
